Plot Development – Outline

Prologue

Introduce Cause and effect line. Introduce basic plot course. Elements of this portion of the script will be repeated as flashbacks later on to help develop plot line. (Chekhov’s gun)

Act 1

·         Introduction of Characters in most basic roles. – Eg. Student, Teacher, Sister ETC.

·         Establish character relationships and chemistry.

·         Establish vague character histories and effect on relationships through dialogue

·         Build up to conflict – Introduce deeper traits of main characters Eg. Powers, hints of intentions, curiosities

Act 2

·         Introduce 1^st Plot twist – Parents & Siblings – The truth behind them.

·         Introduce Antagonist in true form

  Hence

·         Introduce Conflict Situations and Elements – Need for training, Large Scale destruction, Secrets, Jealousies Etc.

·         Develop Character Relationships

·         Introduce Conflict between Protagonists

·         Begin revelation of False Protagonist – Widen initial conflict by introducing new conflict which drives a wedge between brothers.

Act 3

·         Establish new relationship between Antagonist and False Protagonist through confrontation and resolution

·         2^nd Plot Twist – Revelation of False Protagonist Element

·         DEEPER conflict between Protagonist and False Protagonist

·         Sacrifice of Mentor to save Protagonist

·         Plot twist #3 – Revelation of “Red Herring” – Acquisition of new ally to protagonist (Deep discussion in 2^nd Story).

Act 4

·         Protagonist and Ally move against Antagonist and False Protagonist – Winner Takes All

·         Introduce new conflict – Antagonist VS. False Protagonist – False protagonist claims superiority over antagonist. Revenge meted out for parents. (back-story explained in Act 2)

·         Plot twist #4 False Protagonist Revealed as the Antagonist ( I’m going to use a “False Antagonist” for added shock factor)

Inception 3

Almost time to dust off my blog. Except my Laptop died and I am NOT uploading anything from my desktop (the thing makes a snail look like an RX8) So maybe for the New year I can start uploading and writing again ^_^.

Today the idea hit me harder than a right hook. Since it seems one of the only talents i have is the ability to over express my views or my feelings; my general frame of mind in the things that I write I thought to myself, “Why not be a writer for real?” The idea’s nothing foreign to me, I’ve even started a fiction piece.
